Who we are
Affordable Western Log Homes is a Christian company that strongly believes our customers should deserve high quality, large diameter logs for their home without compromising to an unaffordable price. All of our wood is from dead standing timber that is stamped and graded to ASTM Standard D3957. Our sister log mills were established in 1984. And our commitment is simple: To provide you the reality of having the log cabin or home you have always dreamed of without the nightmare cost.
From designing your own home to delivery, AWLH focuses on customer satisfaction. We provide massive savings for a several reasons. First, we are an independent log home dealer that works exclusively with two mills. One is in Canada and the other in the Northwestern United States. This alone saves you a lot. It allows us to maintain costs of government price fluctuations. Second, we maintain a minimal overhead. If you know business, then you know that the overhead costs always filter down to one person, the customer. As a dealer, we maintain a small, yet effective office in Montana and use independent draftsmen and contractors working collectively to develop your home. And third, we are a random length log company. Meaning, we provide the Swedish Cope notched logs in random lengths of 10, 12, 14 and 16 foot with no windows or doors pre-cut at the mill. This means big savings. Many people are unaware that when they purchase a log home, there often hidden costs. Terms like, “per cut charge” for windows and doors drive prices up. Plus customers pay for total linear footage but they don’t receive the full wall. We believe in providing the customer the whole log package without windows and doors precut at the mill. They are then cut on site by your hired contractor using a chainsaw. This will save you a lot of money. Plus it allows for any last minute changes you might think of.
